Lure
Lure is a mobile dating experience concept designed to make discovering people feel more personal and engaging.Instead of relying on a traditional swipe-first experience, I explored a more visual approach where profiles, compatibility, location, and conversation are brought together in a clean and immersive interface.Role: Product DesignerPlatform: iOSScope: UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Visual DesignTools: FigmaThe IdeaDating apps can often feel repetitive. Users move through endless profiles with very little context about the person behind each match.For Lure, I wanted to explore a different direction — an experience that feels more like discovering interesting people than simply swiping through a list.The interface was designed to make photos, personality, compatibility, and conversation feel like parts of the same experience.
Visual Direction I chose a dark interface to create a more immersive, premium feeling while allowing profile photography to become the visual focus. The primary accent uses a warm orange-to-purple gradient, creating a distinctive visual identity across active states, buttons, profile highlights, and navigation. Large photography, generous spacing, rounded cards, and minimal interface elements keep the experience focused on people rather than UI chrome.
Discover The Explore experience was designed to make finding people feel immediate and visual. Profiles are presented in a two-column layout, allowing users to quickly scan people based on their photo, location, age, and identity. Search and filtering are positioned prominently so users can refine discovery without interrupting the browsing experience. Match Experience The primary profile experience gives the user a deeper look at a potential match. A large profile image creates an immersive first impression while supporting information such as compatibility percentage, name, age, and interaction actions remain accessible without overwhelming the screen. The goal was to keep the experience visually simple while still giving users enough information to decide whether they want to engage.
The Result Lure brings together a visual discovery experience, compatibility-driven matching, conversations, and profile management into one cohesive mobile experience. The final direction focuses on making dating feel less transactional and more human — using photography, simplicity, and carefully considered interactions to put people at the center of the product.
